History

The SOMMIER company was founded in 1953 by René SOMMIER. The company specialised in boiler making, sheet metal work and mechanics.

The company developed around these activities and acquired real know-how in the processing of dried fruit, but in 2014, it was placed in receivership and closed in July 2015.

The closure was short-lived, as some of the staff immediately mobilised to ensure that the company’s 60-year-old know-how did not disappear.

They bought the SOMMIER trade name from the commercial court, as well as all the SOMMIER plans and patents, and created Sarl CIMAN, which took over the same activity as the SOMMIER company.

Almost all the machinery and items offered in the company’s range are entirely manufactured in the factory.

The company has a wide range of machines necessary for sheet metal processing, boiler making and mechanical work…
